Cure for: Aconitum is used in almost every part of the world. Chinese folk medicines use the roots for treating headaches, paralysis (hemiplegia), rheumatism, arthritis, contusions, bruises, broken bones and overheating of the body.
It is used in many ways, specially given to the people who lack motivation or suffer from permanent fatigue. The dried leaves of plant are burned as incense and the seeds are sometimes used in rituals, and the entire plant is considered to be an agent of protection. In Ayurveda the roots of the plant are considered as mrityunjaya rasa – a tonic that treat the fever supposed to be caused by deranged vayu, i.e., wind. It is mainly recommended in fever, cephalagia, infections of throat, dyspepsia and rheumatism. In Homeopathy it is considered excellent remedy for clotting of blood in heart or in lungs, pneumonia, Iymptisis, pleurisy, eye trouble, earache, toothache and urinary trouble. In modern medicine also it is used in leprosy, fever, cholera, nasal catarrah, tonsillitis, sore throat, gastric disorders, debility. As a sedative and diaphoretic, it is applied in the form of paste in cases of neuralgia and rheumatism.
